About us

Hi! I am Russ Varnam and running a marathon for the second time... a decade on from the first shot. First time round I went at it without understanding the mental power you need to complete these things. This time round I am more of a runner and hope to go the extra mile. Metaphorically, I will not be adding any unnecessary miles!

This time round I am running for Happy Days Children's charity. 'Happy Days Children's Charity based in Hitchin organises and funds special days such as trips to the seaside, theatres, zoos, museums, outdoor activity centres, sporting events and other educational and cultural activities for children right across the UK living with mental, physical and emotional difficulties.' - Happy Days Children's Charity UK | National Charity | Hertfordshire
