My Story
I'm running for the MS Society
My wonderful running club the South Cheshire Harriers raised £1300 last year for the MS Society, who then offered a London marathon place to a club member. I was lucky enough to win the ballot and so I'm picking up the baton to reach the £2500 target 😁
The club chose the MS society because one of our most postive, determined and enthusiastic club members lives with some of the most challenging symptoms of MS. She is a Mum, a wife, a nurse and a runner, now using a racing chair to keep competing and her journey is inspiring, as she meets each hurdle with a positive energy and a huge amount of courage.
I declared "I'm never running a marathon again" in a BBC interview at a sweltering London finish line last year but I was too tempted to try and raise some more money in another battle with 26.2 miles of tarmac!
I'm so grateful for any funds donated to this terrific cause to help people living a daily battle with MS.
