My Story

About me

I started my running journey in 2016 with my husband, starting with the C25K app. My aim was to get fit and keep moving. I think it is safe to say that I am not a natural born runner, but never the less here I am. My husband Jamie and I both work for the health service, so are aware of the importance of having access to emergency medical equipment, accessible to all.
On a personal note, I have recently been diagnosed, and successfully treated, with breast cancer for the second time, so once again requiring the use of medical equipment has been crucial for my recovery. Seeing the health service from 'the other side' is a huge eye opener and, whilst I would never want my friends and family to ever need the help from a charity such as FLEET, it is a necessity in these current times that they get as much financial support and raised awareness as possible, in order to continue to provide as they do.

I will post regular updates about training and fundraising events for those that would like to attend.

Thank you for reading this and if you can spare any money at all I would be very grateful.
