Sam Lib's London marathon for Alzheimer's Society
Sam Libecans
My Story
Hi, my name is Sam Libecans, an employee of Valve-kits, and until last September I was the most inconsistent runner you could meet. For the last 5 years I've put my name down for the London marathon thinking I'll never get picked, but this time I've been lucky enough to receive a ballot entry!
In running the marathon, my hope is to raise money in memory of my Nanna and towards battling Alzheimer's and dementia, as well as supporting the people/families of those that suffer with this awful disease. This devastates 1 in 3 of us, my Nanna sadly being one of them.
Even minor breakthroughs in research and treatment for managing symptoms could give people a much better quality of life during the time they have left, and put a lot less strain on the families who support them.
It would mean so much to me and others if you could donate towards this amazing cause.
