My Story
I am so excited to be running the London Marathon for the National Deaf Children's Society!
I was born profoundly deaf and have one cochlear implant, so the charity I’m running for is one that’s incredibly close to my heart 💜
I’ve lived the journey and I’ve seen firsthand what my parents went through - the uncertainty, the endless questions, the overwhelming decisions about what was best for me. Those early years weren’t easy, but what made a difference was the support - understanding that we weren’t alone.
For a child, every day should be an adventure with a chance to meet new friends and explore the world. But, deaf children are missing out.
Deaf children are losing out on vital support as their audiology and education needs are not being met.
With your support, the National Deaf Children's Society can be there for every deaf child. Together, let's make sure nothing holds deaf children back. Please sponsor me generously to make this happen!
95% of what NDCS does is funded by the public. Their work is only possible thanks to donations from people like you.
£20 could help a family that's just found out their baby is deaf get free, confidential support from the NDCS Helpline.
£50 could go towards NDCS online workshops to help families learn more about deafness and meet other parents.
£100 could contribute towards a sign language course to help parents and families.
I am so so grateful for every message, comment, share and donation, whatever the support may be, the support is truly appreciated. Every step I take is for a brighter future for deaf children 💜
