My Story
I started running about six years ago as a complete novice, only beginning to take it seriously over the last three. Throughout that time, running has become an important component of my life, helping me stay positive , manage stress, and find balance alongside a demanding role of Executive Chef at The Lanesborough hotel.
Despite being a consistent recreational runner, I’ve never taken part in a competitive or organised event. That’s why being given the chance to run the London Marathon is something I am incredibly grateful for. I feel very privileged and humbled to have this opportunity.
For the 2026 London I’m honoured to be running on behalf of Heartburn Cancer UK, a fantastic charity working tirelessly to raise awareness of a condition that can be treated effectively if it’s recognised early. The Lanesborough team know - from first-hand experience - the dangers of ignoring persistent heartburn, having had two very painful run-ins with cancer of the oesophagus in the last few years. These events led to The Lanesborough naming Heartburn Cancer UK as their nominated charity since 2021. This charity’s mission genuinely matters, and I’m proud to support them.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page — any support you can offer means a great deal and helps raise awareness for a cause that can save lives.
ABOUT HEARTBURN CANCER UK:
Heartburn Cancer UK is the country’s leading specialist Barrett’s oesophagus and oesophageal cancer charity. They work to increase awareness of the symptoms of oesophageal cancer and to drive urgent action to improve survival rates. The core message is simple: persistent heartburn is not normal and relying on long‑term self‑medication is not the answer.
HCUK provides trusted information, reassurance, and support to anyone who is worried about their symptoms or who has been diagnosed with Barrett’s oesophagus or oesophageal cancer - ensuring no one feels lost or alone at any stage of their journey.
The charity also supports research and projects aimed at earlier diagnosis and better outcomes. They advocate for patients, champion their needs, and make sure their voices are heard and understood.
