My Story
I'm Running the London Marathon for South Central Ambulance Charity – Please Support Me!
This April, at the age of 59, I’ll be taking on my first ever marathon—the iconic London Marathon—in support of a cause very close to my heart: the South Central Ambulance Charity (SCAC).
As a Community First Responder (CFR) with SCAS, I’ve witnessed firsthand how vital our role is—providing life-saving treatment in those critical minutes before ambulance crews arrive. In rural areas like the New Forest, every second counts. The SCAS charity plays a crucial part in supporting CFRs by funding uniforms, equipment, and training—essentials that directly impact lives.
Training for this marathon is no small feat. There will be a lot of lonely, rainy, and long miles ahead, but I'm committed to completing this challenge to raise funds and awareness for this incredible cause.
If you can spare even the cost of a coffee, it would mean the world. Every donation helps us stay equipped, trained, and ready to respond when our communities need us most.
Please donate, share, and support—together we can make every step of this marathon count.
Thank you 💚
