My Story

🏃‍♀️ I'm Running the London Marathon 2026 — Finally!

After years of applying (and being politely rejected more times than I care to admit), I’ve finally secured a charity place in the London Marathon 2026 — running for the incredible Chain of Hope 💛

This charity provides life-saving heart surgery to children in developing and war-torn countries. Your donations will help fund:

  • 🏥 Specialist cardiac equipment
  • 👩‍⚕️ Training for local medical teams
  • ❤️ Urgent surgeries for children who need them most
  • 🧰 Support for building cardiac units where none exist

It’s serious work. It’s life changing. And I’m proud to be running for them.

😅 Now, About Me...

I’m voluntarily running 26.2 miles. On purpose. With my own legs.
I have M.S., a very demanding job, and a sofa that’s deeply offended I’m going to be leaving it so often.
I’ve done Park runs, 10Ks, the Great South Run, and the Reading Half Marathon a few times - so I know what I’m getting into.
I also know it’s going to be tough. Really tough.
But with grit, determination, and a healthy dose of stubbornness, I’m going for it.

I’ve wanted to do this all my life. And now that I finally can, I want to prove something — to myself, and to anyone else who’s ever been told they “Can’t.”
You absolutely can. And I’m going to prove it, one mile at a time (with snacks).

"I'll be running (and dramatically power-walking) the marathon with one of my best buddies, Linda. We'll be training together, moaning together, and probably inventing new swear words together when we hit the wall. Basically, if one of us goes down, the other will drag her by the shoelaces. Friendship goals, right?"

🎯 My Fundraising Goal: £3,000

If we smash it, I’ll raise the bar. Let’s see how far we can go — together.

Please donate if you can, share the page, or just send me a motivational meme. Every bit of support means the world 💛

Thank you for being part of this journey. Let’s do something amazing.
