My Story

Why I’m Running the London Marathon for Sarcoma UK

In February last year, my daughter was diagnosed with sarcoma in her leg — a rare cancer that’s often hard to detect in young people. She’s been through fertility treatment, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and major surgery to remove the tumour and replace her femur with metal.

We’re so grateful that her treatment has been successful, and now I’m running the London Marathon for Sarcoma UK to raise awareness of this rare disease and help others get an earlier diagnosis.

Every step I take will be for my amazing daughter and everyone affected with Sarcoma.

💛 Relay Squat Challenge — 17 January

On 17 January, we are organising a Relay Squat Challenge at PureGym to support my London Marathon fundraising for Sarcoma UK. The challenge will be a squat pyramid, with teammates taking turns to work their way up and down — and to keep things interesting, there’ll be lucky dips thrown in along the way. It’s all about teamwork, fun, and pushing through together, while raising awareness of sarcoma and vital funds for Sarcoma UK.
