My Story
I'm running the London Marathon to support Prostate Cancer UK. Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That’s someone’s dad, brother, partner, or mate.
I'm running to raise money for lifesaving research and support for men and their families affected by prostate cancer. With both my father and close friends having gone through the pain of this cancer, I hope I can raise some money to help the research into curing this nasty cancer that hits men so hard as well as the vital support the charity gives to those diagnosed with the disease
I'll be 45 by the time of the Marathon and many guys that age don't get checked. If you or a friend is feeling symptoms, get checked as it's a very manageable cancer if it is caught early
I'll try and run (despite my dodgy knee) between 4-5 hours and would LOVE to raise £4500. As a born and bred Londoner, doing this iconic marathon is something to tick off the list for sure and am excited and nervous (injuries!) to have this as a challenge to work towards.
It is nowhere near the challenge that those going through Prostate Cancer have to endure so it's nothing to winge about.
Donate if you can and will keep you posted of my progress 🙌🏃🏻
