My Story

I am running the 2026 London Marathon on Sunday 26th April 2026, raising money for Breast Cancer Now. A cause very close to the hearts of my family. 

My Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2023. She needed intensive treatment and was a true fighter throughout. 

I saw first hand how mentally challenging this was for her. Countless tests, hospital appointments, surgeries, not knowing what the future looked like.  Mentally tough for my Dad, Sister and I too. Mum had an amazing network of family, friends and colleagues who were there for her. Thankfully, Mum was eventually given the all clear. 

As soon as she had been given the all clear (literally within 2-3 weeks), Mum started fundraising to raise money for various Cancer charities. She is truly an inspiration. Always putting others before herself. 

I will be running this race for those that beat cancer, those that lost their battle and for the countless people still fighting everyday.

I appreciate times are tough, but anything anyone can donate will truly go a long way. Every penny will go towards the charities goal of "by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live".
