My Story
Update - I did it!!!!!
Thank you SO much for your support, both in donations and good wishes.
The money raised will really help Jeremiah's Journey to support families in Plymouth and the surrounding area.
The page is being kept open for further donations as I take part in Britains Ocean City Running Festival for Jeremiahs Journey. This time just a mere 13 miles but Plymouth is VERY hilly!
I also have been given a fantastic Beryl Cook signed framed print and a Signed framed print from Brian Pollard to auction at Jeremiah's Journey's Gala Ball in September.
love to all

It is happening!
This year I'll be turning 50 and what better way to celebrate than taking part in the London Marathon (yes, yes, I know cake & wine are also an option!)
Marathon places are like goldust so l'm very lucky that Jeremiah's Journey have offered me a charity place to represent and raise funds for them.
I was honoured to have been asked to be an Ambassador for this beloved Plymouth charity in 2024. Although I have yet to host a reception with a pyramid of Ferrero Rocher (surely a must for any Ambassador?) I have really enjoyed attending the various fundraising/social events JJ's are involved in and organise around the city and getting to know more about the important work they do for families in our community. It is a cause very close to my heart and they need support to continue helping people of all ages.

A few years ago I never believed I'd be walking 26.2 miles but now I have done so a couple of times l'm ready to challenge myself to do it a little bit faster!
Inspired by the incredible resilience of friends/family and powerful stories of strength from others who have achieved their own personal goals I promise to do my best to cross that finish line before they pack it up and go home.
I am forever grateful at how my life has played out and got me here, back in Plymouth, healthy, happy, with brilliant friends/colleagues and cannot thank Tanya, Jacqui, John and all the team at Jeremiah's Journey enough for welcoming me with open arms and hearts and believing in me to do this.
My amazing husband William and ever supportive Mum Jeanette are behind me all the way ( Not literally. but I'm hoping they'll be waiting for me at the end with a Calippo, chafing cream and a fresh HRT patch)
I'll be updating on my training and fundraising progress over the next few months.
Thank you for reading.
Any support gratefully accepted with love and a big smile!
