My Story
About us
Im Talia, a qualified Chartered accountant, wife and mother to two magnificent little boys. My family is my why and my reason for everything in this world.
I work at Discovery as a Financial Advisor. My purpose is deeply rooted in helping individuals and families live healthier, more secure, and more fulfilled lives.
Every person deserves the opportunity to protect what matters most to them: their health, their income, their loved ones, and their legacy.
After a personal and tragic family loss just over 18 months ago, running became my therapy because it asked nothing from me except to keep moving.
With each run, I learned that healing isn’t about outrunning grief, but about learning to move with it. Running taught me resilience . It reminded me that even on the hardest days, I was still capable of progress — one step, one breath, one mile at a time.
I’m running the London Marathon 2026 in support of The Malki Foundation UK, which provides life-changing therapies and support to children with severe disabilities, helping families care for their children at home with dignity and hope.
Thank you for supporting my run and this incredible cause. Every donation means more access to care, more support for families, and more steps taken together — I’ll be carrying your generosity with me all the way to the finish line.
The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.
Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.
What’s more, these participants have raised over a billion pounds for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
