My Story

Thanks for visiting my page.  I'm running London 2026 having won a place in the ballot, which is almost as big an achievement as doing the marathon itself!  1.1m applied for a place, so the odds are pretty small.

And I'm running for a really important cause.  My niece had complications early in life - she had developmental hip dysplasia, a condition where the "ball and socket" joint of the hip doesn't form properly in babies.  She needed surgery which was pretty traumatic, and so I'm so pleased to see her now, fully recovered, confident and happy!

And that's where Steps come in... Not Claire, H and Lisa though...

The charity really supported them at the time.  Every day thousands of children are affected by a serious lower limb condition. These leg, hip, toe conditions vary in their symptoms, frequency and prognosis. But without the correct diagnosis, treatment and support, it would be impossible for any of these children to walk properly later in life. The charity works to improve care, medical standards, and provide support for families.
