My Story

April 2026, I’ll be taking on the London Marathon—26.2 miles through the heart of the capital. It’s a big personal challenge, but I’m running for something far bigger than myself: to raise money and awareness for Epilepsy Action.

Epilepsy is a complex and often misunderstood condition. It doesn’t just affect a person’s health—it affects their confidence, their independence, and sometimes even their place in the world.

For my family, this is personal. My sister-in-law lives with epilepsy, and I’ve seen first-hand how unpredictable and challenging it can be. I’ve also seen her strength, resilience, and courage in facing each day, despite the challenges. Her experience has opened my eyes to how important the right support is—not just medically, but emotionally and socially too.

That’s where **Epilepsy Action** comes in. They provide vital help and advice to thousands of people living with epilepsy across the UK. From helplines and community support to campaigning for better healthcare and rights, their work genuinely changes lives. They’re often the first place people turn to after a diagnosis—and one of the few voices speaking up for those with epilepsy every single day.

I’m running to support that work. To raise funds, raise awareness, and honour my sister-in-law’s strength—as well as the thousands of others living with epilepsy right now.

If you’re able to support me on this journey, thank you. Your donation will help Epilepsy Action continue their life-changing work—and help create a future where no one faces epilepsy alone.

Let’s go the distance together.
