Why donate to The Paul Lavelle Foundation?
The Paul Lavelle Foundation is a charity who support males who are experiencing domestic abuse in Merseyside and Cheshire. We are the only dedicated support service for males in the region. The PLF promotes health and wellbeing through sports and all outdoor activities including running, cycling, swimming and group activities. PLF brings a sense of empowering community full of support.
What will your donations fund?
The funds raised from your generous donations will go towards Foundation’s vital services, which include therapeutic support for male victims of domestic abuse, helping men on a journey of recovery from the experiences and trauma of domestic abuse and healthy relationship education for children and young people in schools and colleges. This preventative work is a key part of breaking the cycle of domestic abuse and ensuring future generations grow up with the tools to build safe, respectful relationships.
Any donation big or small will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
About us
The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.
Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.
What’s more, these participants have raised over a billion pounds for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
