My Story
🌟 London Marathon – Supporting VSA 🌟
This year I've convinced myself that running the London Marathon is a "great idea". While my knees have lodged a formal complaint, my heart is in the right place as I will be running for VSA, the incredible Aberdeen charity that's been supporting vulnerable people across the North East since 1870.
VSA provides vital support for children, families, adults, older people, and carers. They help people facing mental health challenges, disability, additional support needs, and hardship through residential care, community outreach, and wellbeing services. Meanwhile, I’ll be out there providing a public demonstration of why I should probably stick to engineering rather than endurance sports!
Right now, VSA is under serious pressure with their services stretched thinner than my chances of looking athletic on race day. Funding challenges mean they’re fighting to keep essential support going for the people who rely on them most. So while I’m out there questioning every life choice that led me to this moment, you can be the hero of the story by making a small donation to such a worthy cause as every donation helps VSA continue their life‑changing work.
Thank you for supporting VSA, supporting my marathon attempt, and supporting the inevitable comedy show that will be my running form!
