My Story

About us

On the 29th Decemeber 2023, at the Royal Manchester Children's hospital, our baby boy Reuben was born.  Due to complications he arrived a little earlier than expected at 22 weeks and 6 days old.

The road ahead was a difficult one for Reuben and those that love him.

Fortunately for us, The Ronald McDonald House provided us with accommodation, so we could be with Reuben everyday and focus solely on looking after Reuben, and for this we are eternally grateful.

It wasn't just a place to stay either.  They provided a lot of additional support which made our lives a lot easier. In total we spent around 8 months at the Ronald McDonald House. 

It gives me great satisfaction to be able to give something back to the charity on behalf of Reuben and the rest of the family.
