My Story

David sadly passed away on 16 March 2026, aged 70. Much loved Husband to Jayne and Father to Will. Respected friend and colleague. Rest in peace.

In March 2025, my Dad was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) / ALS.

In an instant, our expectations for the future crumbled and a new reality confronted us. One without a cure and one which would see Dad (a bright, fiercely witty and generous soul) lose function, step by step, until the end.

Dad is turning 70 in October 2025.

To acknowledge his milestone birthday, I intend to raise at least £7,000 (£100 per year of his life) for the MND Association through donations. To do this, I will be running the London Marathon 2026 and other endurance events before then as part of Team MND.

The MND Association supported us with a specialist bed and shower unit for the house - an indescribable mercy. Please help me do the same for other families and fund the fight against this miserable malady.

Any donation, however small, will have an huge impact.
