My Story
About us
This April, I will run my first marathon the London Marathon. I am proud to represent my hometown, Folkestone.
Running has always been part of my life. From childhood to now, I have always been active, and sport has shaped who I am today. Taking on this marathon is my way of pushing myself further and seeing how far I can go, both physically and mentally.
I am running to support the Folkestone Nepalese Community. This community has been my home for over 25 years. I am part of the first generation of Gurkha children raised here, and it has played a big role in shaping my values and identity.
The community provides important support, especially for elderly Nepalese and Gurkha members. It helps with education, financial support, social activities, and daily needs. It also protects our culture and traditions. Most importantly, it brings people together and reduces loneliness, supporting not only Nepalese families but the wider community as well.
Giving something back is a privilege. If you are able to donate, no matter how small, it will make a real difference.
Thank you for your support.
