My Story

Thank you for visiting my page.

Now that I've just about recovered from Hackney's suit/gin Movember half, it is time to pursue my next charitable endeavour: Running the 2026 London Marathon in aid of Shelter (shots will be saved until after the race this time).

Having worked alongside Shelter during my university studies, I had no doubt that they were the charity I wanted to support next. Most of us will never have to worry about having a secure place to sleep, but many individuals in the UK do not have this privilege. Shelter not only campaign for housing justice, they also help those impacted by the homelessness crisis.

A few statistics from Shelter's recent report:

  • As of June 2025, 13,231 people were recorded as sleeping rough in London
  • 131,140 households are living in temporary accommodation
  • Of those 131,140 households, there are more than 172,000 children growing up without a fixed place to stay

If you are able to donate, but have not yet been fully convinced, please consider any applicable reasons below:

  • Your donations go towards a fantastic cause (reminder)
  • He forgot to post about the suit run and I would have donated to that
  • He recently sponsored me for something I did
  • He will probably sponsor me for something I'm doing in the future
  • He hasn't asked for donations in a while
  • Donating shows I already know he's running another marathon so he's less likely to tell me about it

In typical GKTFC fundraising style, I will happily accept any challenges along the way, just name your price and your challenge - subject to approval (there's only so many full 8's a man can do).

This fundraising target is the most ambitious I have set so far, so please share with your friends/family/local philanthropists to help me smash the target!

Thank you in advance for your support!
