My Story

My Story

Hi, my name is Alexa and I’m so excited to be running the London Marathon 2026 to raise money for Afrikids.

I’m supporting this incredible charity because their work is very close to my heart. I’m originally from South Africa and have seen firsthand how poverty and lack of access to education can affect children’s lives. Afrikids works closely with communities in northern Ghana to help children stay in school and access quality basic education, while supporting families to overcome the barriers that keep kids out of learning.

Education is fundamental and something every child deserves, and being able to support a charity that is creating real, long-term change means so much to me. I’m incredibly grateful for any support. Every donation, no matter the size, truly makes a difference.

Knowing that people believe in this cause and are willing to support me and Afrikids will motivate me every step of the way on marathon day, and I honestly can’t thank you enough.
