Bob's London Marathon Fundraiser For Devon Air Ambulance
Bob Huntington
My Story
I'm taking part in the 2026 TCS London Marathon for the first time at the ripe old age of 70. I am raising money for the Devon Air Ambulance (DAA); my local lifesaving charity who have given me this amazing opportunity.
I first started running in 2024 and with the DAA's encouragement, I progressed to becoming a marathon runner in 2025 at Exeter. The London event will be my second attempt at the distance and I shall be aiming to beat my first marathon time of 4 hours 39 minutes.
For the last dozen years or so, I have enjoyed being a Cornish Pilot Gig rower and during this time I have rowed marathons on indoor rowing machines and the open sea. The recent conversion from rowing to running has been really challenging in terms of the differing stresses and strains on my body.
Please support me on my running campaign, donate what you can or share my fundraising page with your own family and friends too.
I am running to keep the Devon Air Ambulance flying!
THANK YOU!
