My Story

I’m running the London Marathon for Sands! 🏃‍♂️🧡

I was lucky enough to get a ballot place in the 2026 TCS London Marathon, but I didn't want to run just for myself. I am running to raise as much as I can for Sands, the UK's leading pregnancy and baby loss charity.
Every day, 13 families in the UK are devastated by the loss of a baby. Sands works tirelessly to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, improve bereavement care, and fund research to save babies' lives.

Running 26.2 miles is nothing compared to the heartbreak these face daily.

2024/2025 was a difficult time in my Midwifery career. Sadly three babies in my caseload were very much loved and are not here today 🩵 It’s the hardest part of my job as I cannot ever answer the family’s question of ‘Why?’ but I can support them.  SANDS funds vital research and offer amazing bereavement support to families; which is so needed.

I’m running for Leo 🩵, Jack 🩵and Tommy 🩵(permission gained to share

Please support me by donating to my page to help them continue their vital work.
