About us
In April we'll be running the London Marathon in memory of our Dad who passed away from prostate cancer in 2021.
We're raising money for Lawrence Nurses, an amazing local charity who provide free end of life care for those who wish to spend their last few months in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by those they love. The incredible professionalism and kindness of the team allowed our Dad, Nick, to slip away with as much comfort and dignity as possible, when it was needed most.
Nick was an inspiration to many in the local community as he documented the ups and downs of his battle with cancer, holding numerous talks and setting up 'Chippy WellFest' as a way to share what he learned on his journey. He was a big believer in the power of local organisations and was in awe of the tireless work of the Lawrence team in providing a critical service to our area.
He ran the London Marathon himself back in 2006 - spurred on by a diagnosis of extremely high blood pressure, he joined a team led by Sir Matthew Pinsent to raise money for Stroke UK. 20 years later us 3 brothers are looking to pick up where he left off (and hopefully beat his time!).
Any donations, big or small, are very gratefully received - thank you for supporting a cause so close to our hearts.
