Kate & Zoë take on London 2026 for APP💜
My Story
We’re Zoë and Kate, a mother and daughter duo taking on the 2026 London Marathon together in support of Action on Postpartum Psychosis (APP). 💜
For Kate, this will be marathon number 6, and for Zoë, this will be her very first marathon! Having been born in London, she’s excited (and a little nervous!) to run through the city where she's from. Running London 2026 together makes it even more special. 😊
We’re running for our close family friend Anna, who was impacted by postpartum psychosis. Seeing the strength and courage she’s shown - and the amazing work she now does with APP - has inspired us to take on this challenge. We want to run for her, and for all the women and families who have been affected.
Postpartum psychosis is a severe but treatable mental illness that begins in the days or weeks after giving birth and affects around 1,400 women in the UK each year. APP is the national charity providing vital peer support, raising awareness, funding research, and pushing for better services so that no family has to go through it alone.
By running the London marathon, we hope to raise both awareness and funds to support APP’s incredible work. Every donation means so much, and we’re so grateful for your support as we take on this challenge together. We can't wait to share our journey with all of you, and thank you so much for your generosity. 💜
