My Story
Seeing as I'm now totally sober, 31 years old and getting married later this year, it only makes sense for me to run the marathon.
Gratefully I will be running on behalf of Steel Warriors, a charity who repurpose seized knives off the streets and build outdoor callisthenics gyms across London.
Since moving to Dulwich last February, I've made the Steel Warriors gym at Ruskin park a staple of my workout routine. I've met some incredible people through the community and learned a hell of a lot along the way. I'm honoured to be running for such a great cause.
Steel Warriors believe that young lives should be built on steel, not destroyed by it.
I am raising money for Steel Warriors to support them to reach more young people and communities through the sport of calisthenics. At each of their London gyms, made from the steel from seized knives, they deliver a range of free classes and programmes.
I am proud to be part of the first ever Steel Warriors TCS London Marathon team and am grateful for your support. Every penny raised helps Steel Warriors to do more and to get closer to delivering their mission of a UK-wide network of gyms.
