My Story

I never imagined I’d be running a marathon.

I only started running last year, and since then I’ve really tried to stay consistent and push myself — but 26.2 miles was never part of the original plan.

This opportunity came up last minute when a place became available for the London Marathon, and I said yes… slightly impulsively. It’s definitely one of those decisions I might question somewhere around mile 20.

But I said yes for a reason.

I’m running for a charity I work for that supports survivors of domestic and sexual abuse — a cause I care deeply about and truly believe in. Every day, I see the impact this work has, and how vital support, safety, and advocacy are for those who need it most.

Taking on this marathon feels like a huge challenge, but it’s nothing compared to what so many survivors face. If pushing myself physically and mentally can help raise awareness and funds to support them, then it’s more than worth it.

If you’re able to donate, share, or support in any way, it would mean a lot — not just to me, but to the people this charity helps every day.

Thank you 🌼
